Ashland School Of Dance
Ally started her dance journey with Just For Kicks at age 7 where she studied high kick and jazz. In 2008 Ally joined Sterling Silver Studio and studied jazz and lyrical. She was also part of their competition team. After graduating in 2012 Ally attended The University of Wisconsin Superior and became a part or their cheerleading team. After a year without dance she decided to also join their dance team, where she helped choreograph and started to help with coaching. Through that experience Ally learned she had a love not only for the sport of dance but for creating them as well. Ally also has practiced hip-hop, pom, zumba, belly dancing, and ballet. Ally is attending Lake Superior College for the Surgical Technologist program. This summer Ally will teach the Summer Intensive Workshop in August.
Anessa started dancing at the age of 3 at Sterling Silver Studio in Superior WI. She was ten years old when she switched to Dance Escape in Duluth, MN. Anessa than went on to be part of the Superior High School dance team. While on the team Anessa was captain her junior and senior year. After graduating Anessa went on to college at Iowa Central College where she danced her freshman and sophomore year and was also captain of the team. Throughout the years Anessa has participated in many styles of dances such as Baton, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip-hop, and Ballet. She has also won awards at local competitions and was called back to be in a Kelle Costume Catalog. Anessa also participated in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and has competed in the National Dance competition in Daytona Beach Florida with her college dance team. Anessa currently is attending WITC Ashland for the Occupational Therapy Assistant program. This summer Anessa will teach the Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet/Tiny Tap, Jazz/Funk I and Jazz/Funk II on Monday and Wednesdays.
Caitlin is 16 years old and will be a junior at Ashland High School. She started teaching dance in 2012. She currently trains in ballet, jazz and tap. She really enjoys teaching kids how to dance. This summer Caitlin will be teaching the Beg/Int Tap, Int/Adv Tap, Level I Jazz & Tap and Level II/III Ballet & Jazz classes on Tuesday and Thursdays with Claire.
Claire is 18 years old and is a senior at Washburn High School. She has been dancing for 12 years and started teaching dance in 2012. She currently trains in jazz, ballet, modern, pointe and tap. This summer Claire will be teaching Beg/Int Tap, Int/Adv Tap, Level I Jazz & Tap and Level II/III Ballet & Jazz classes on Tuesday and Thursdays with Caitlin.
Sophia is 15 years old and will be a freshman at the Ashland High School. She has been in dance since she was 5 years old. This summer Sophia will be teaching a Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet/Tap and the Level I Ballet & Jazz class on Tuesday and Thursdays with Ava.
Ava is 16 years old and will be sophomore at Washburn High School. She has been dancing since she was four years old; this year was her 3rd year in Sr Company. This summer Ava will be teaching the Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet/Tiny Tap and Level I Ballet & Jazz class on Tuesday and Thursdays with Sophia. This will be Ava's third year of teaching at ASOD.
Lily will be a 6th grader at the Ashland Middle School. This will be Lily's third year of teaching. She's been dancing since the age of 3. This summer Lily will be teaching the Creative Movement and Pre-Ballet/Tiny Tap class on Mondays and Wednesdays with Anessa.
Kayla will be a 5th grader at Lake Superior Intermediate School. Kayla will teach again this fall.
